Fairfax County has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for temporary repeaters on 159.4725 and 158.7375. According to a PDF attached to the app, the frequencies are for an interoperability exercise on March 8 to test the feasibility of using VHF radio coverage for the entire county in the event of a total failure of primary communications systems.
