The Horseshoe Baltimore Casino opens tonight at nine. The casino's license indicates a seven-frequency UHF DMR trunked system, probably either MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus or MOTOTRBO Connect Plus.

BayComm FCC License

BayComm, a commercial provider of radio communications located in Delaware, recently modified its license. The company added a three-frequency NXDN trunked site to 5318 1st Place NE in DC. The site is part of a wide-area NEXEDGE system which covers Philadelphia, northern Delaware, northeast Maryland, Baltimore, and DC.

CSC Event Staff Adds DMR Emission Designator

CSC Event Staff, which provides security for Nationals games, has added the DMR emission designator to their license for 463.8000 at Nationals Park. However, CSC has not used this repeater for a few years; they usually use a repeater on 464.7500 [233.6] at the ballpark.

Omni Shoreham Hotel FCC App

The Omni Shoreham Hotel in DC has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for analog and DMR repeaters on 464.3500, 464.7750, and 464.8250.

The hotel has used 464.3500 and 464.7750 (analog) previously, although the license has expired.

Aloft National Harbor Adds Frequencies

Aloft National Harbor recently licensed simplex on 456.7750, 456.8750, and 464.8250. The hotel already uses a repeater on 452.2250.

BearCom, a radio rental provider, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for a DMR repeater on 464.1375, and DMR simplex on 451.1875, 451.2375, 451.2875, 451.3625, and 451.6875. These frequencies will be rented to clients at the Gaylord National Hotel at National Harbor.

Courtyard Capitol Hotel FCC App

The Courtyard Capitol Hotel has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for simplex on 461.4875, 462.1625, 463.8375, and 468.9375.

The hotel has previously been monitored using 461.4875 [210.7].

Springfield Town Center Adds Frequencies

Springfield Town Center (formerly Springfield Mall) has an application pending to its license to add DMR repeaters on 463.8125 and 464.9125. The DMR repeater on 451.9250 that was already licensed has never been monitored.

Springfield Town Center is scheduled to reopen in October.

Residences at Ritz-Carlton FCC App

The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, located at 1111 23rd St. NW in DC, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for an analog and DMR repeater on 463.2875, and analog and DMR simplex on 456.7750, 463.4375, 466.9000, 468.4375, and 469.4000.

Capitol Hill Hotel FCC App

The Capitol Hill Hotel, located at 200 C St. SE in DC, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for analog and DMR simplex on 464.0125, 469.0125, 464.0875, and 469.0875.

New DSD+ Version Coming Soon

According to a RadioReference forum post, it looks like a new version of DSD+ may be released soon. DSD+ allows for the decoding of multiple digital audio formats, such as Project 25, DMR, and NXDN.

Dulles Town Center Adds DMR Emissions Designators

Dulles Town Center has added DMR emissions designators to its license for 451.5250. It's unknown if the mall is actually using DMR, or continues to use analog.

Amaluna, a Cirque du Soleil show, runs through September 21 at National Harbor. Cirque personnel were confirmed last weekend (before the show began) using 464.5000 [ d311] and 464.5500 [ d432]. In the past, Cirque has also been monitored on 451.8000 [ d032] and 469.5000 [ d116].

Cirque holds a nationwide license for these frequencies and others.
