Nordstrom Distribution Center License Mod

The Nordstrom Distribution Center in Upper Marlboro recently modified its license to add an analog/DMR repeater on 461.4125.

Elaine Ellis Center of Health FCC License

The Elaine Ellis Center of Health, located in DC, was recently licensed for simplex on 451.5125, 452.1625, 452.6625, 456.5125, and 457.1625.

Otakon FCC App

Otakon, an "annual celebration of Asian pop culture," has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for a DMR trunked system on 451.8375, 452.0125, 452.0875, 452.2375, 452.3875, and 451.7875, as well as DMR simplex on several other frequencies.

The event runs from August 11-13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

RCP Enterprises FCC License

RCP Enterprises, which provides communication services to eligible users, was recently licensed for NXDN repeaters on 461.98125, 463.25625, and 464.35625 at 45200 Prologis Plaza in Sterling, and a NXDN repeater on 452.1750 at 24737 Gracehill Terrace in Aldie.

Westin Annapolis FCC License

The Westin Annapolis Hotel was recently licensed for a DMR repeater on 451.9250, and DMR simplex on 463.3500, 463.7125, 463.8625, 468.3500, and 468.7125.

The hotel already has a license for a repeater and simplex frequencies, but that license expires this month.

Charles Adds Frequencies to Trunked System

Charles recently added 854.6625 and 859.1875 to its trunked system. It's unknown if the frequencies are in use yet.

Charles Schools Adds Frequencies

Charles County Schools has added a couple of UHF DMR/analog repeaters to its license. 464.2375 was licensed at the Robert D. Stethem Educational Center in Pomfret, and 461.6375 was licensed at Henry E. Lackey High School in Indian Head.

Hotel at University of Maryland Adds Repeater

The Hotel at the University of Maryland College Park has added a DMR repeater on 463.5250 to its license.

The Wharf FCC App

The Wharf, a major mixed-use development in Southwest DC opening in the fall, has an application pending before the FCC for DMR repeaters on 463.4500, 462.5000, 461.8625, 464.0125, and 463.5875.

July 4 Event

On July 4, talkgroup 24176 (Special Event 6) from the Fairfax County Services system was active. Mentioned were batting cages, a dugout, and a concession stand. This was probably either the event in Herndon or Vienna.

Fauquier/Culpeper Possible Move to P25 Phase II

Fauquier, Culpeper, and Rappahannock Counties may be taking the initial steps toward a Project 25 Phase II system. Two applications for new frequencies have been received by the FCC recently. The counties currently use a Project 16 system.
