CNN FCC App

CNN has an application pending before the FCC for their Washington operations. The app calls for MOTOTRBO repeaters on 464.9625 (from 2844 Wisconsin Ave. NW) and 452.7000 and 462.2750 (from 820 First St. NE).

CNN currently uses MOTOTRBO repeaters on 450.1875, 450.6750, 450.7750, and 450.8875.

Good detective work, thanks Dave!

I heard other media complained to the FCC earlier this year.

Mototrbo was supposedly not acceptable in the broadcast auxiliary bands. So CNN had to move.
