International Square, an office building located at 1875 I St. NW in DC, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for DMR repeaters on 452.0000 and 452.2750.

International Square has previously used a DMR repeater on 464.6500, as well as analog on 463.7000 with several DCS tones. The building held a license for 464.6500 which expired in 2012.

Presidential Plaza FCC App

Presidential Plaza, an office building located at 900 19th St. NW in DC, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for DMR repeaters on 463.5750 and 463.8750.

Colony South Hotel FCC App

Colony South Hotel, located in Clinton, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for DMR simplex on 451.3875, 451.6625, 452.0375, 456.3875, and 456.6625.

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission FCC License

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission was recently licensed for repeaters in multiple locations in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties.

American Airlines Modifies IAD License for DMR

American Airlines has modified its Dulles Airport license to add DMR emission designators to its frequencies. (These frequencies were probably originally licensed to US Airways.)

World Bank Modifies License for P25

The World Bank has modified its multi-location 451.6000 license for Project 25 digital. Nothing from the World Bank has been monitored on this frequency.

The Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival was today. Warrenton Police used talkgroup 25808 (Special Events 9) on the Fauquier trunked system. Talkgroup 26576 (Fauquier Event 1) was also active, and was probably used for the event.

Fredericksburg Police and Stafford Sheriff are coordinating some kind of vehicle escort Friday afternoon on the Fredericksburg Police Hospital/RIOS channel (156.1050 [ 69.3]).

Fredericksburg Fire Exercise?

Fredericksburg Fire may have been conducting an exercise today at Mary Washington Hospital involving helicopter maneuvers. There were several units using Ch. 7 (155.7150 [156.7]), which is the Mary Washington Hospital channel.

Update: The channel also seemed to be undergoing testing yesterday in preparation for Sunday's Marine Corps Historic Half.

Kinetic Half Iron Triathlon

The Kinetic Half Iron Triathlon was this past Saturday at Lake Anna State Park. Spotsylvania Sheriff used talkgroup 02-023 (Tac 2) on the county's trunked system for traffic control.

Taylor Building FCC App

The Taylor Building, located at 2530 Crystal Dr. in Arlington, has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for a repeater on 464.8500, and simplex on 451.2375, 451.4875, 452.7875, 456.2375, and 456.4875. The frequencies are coded for analog and DMR.

This building has likely been heard on 464.8500 [114.8] previously, but the user could not be identified because of lack of a license.

Balloon Crash in Caroline County

Here are STARS talkgroups monitored during rescue/recovery operations for the hot air balloon crash in Caroline County:

• 3 (VSP Richmond 2) - In use Friday night for operations.
• 16 (VSP Tac Team 1) - In use Friday night for units responding to the scene.
• 96 (VSP Richmond 3) - In use on Saturday for operations.
• 6125 (Interop LE 1) - Patched to 154.9650 [186.2] (Caroline FD 3).

VSP and other agencies may also have been using an on-scene trunked system (particularly on Saturday and Sunday), such as the STARS mobile trailer.

Law Enforcement United Bike Ride

The Law Enforcement United Bike Ride passed through Fredericksburg on Sunday afternoon. Police units escorting the ride were using 853.0125 [156.7] simplex, a national channel known as 8 Tac 94.

Exercise at North Anna Power Station Yesterday?

Yesterday, STARS talkgroup 96 (VSP Richmond 3) was used for a communications link to Louisa County. This may have been used for an exercise at the North Anna Power Station.

Spotsylvania County talkgroup 02-041 (Sheriff Patrol 2) may also have been linked, but this was not confirmed.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative FCC App

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for a DMR trunked system at five different sites in Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's Counties. Each site will use two frequencies. The system will probably either be Linked Capacity Plus or Connect Plus.

National Orders FCC App

National Orders, a provider of two-way rental radios, has an application pending before the FCC. The  app calls for repeaters on 451.2750, 451.7500, and 452.8500. The frequencies are coded for analog and DMR. The location of the repeaters is 901 Massachusetts Ave., NW in DC, which is the address of the new Marriott Marquis Hotel.

United Medical Center License Modification

United Medical Center recently modified its license to add a repeater on 461.4125. The frequency is coded for analog and DMR.

Residence Inn Pentagon City FCC App

The Residence Inn Pentagon City has an application pending before the FCC. The app calls for a repeater on 464.6250, and simplex on 451.6125, 451.6875, 452.8875, 456.6125, and 456.6875. The frequencies are coded for analog and DMR.
