The first weekend of the new year has lots of sports, plus one other unusual event:
- Georgetown plays Saturday at 1 PM at Verizon Center.
- The Wizards play Saturday at 7 PM, also at Verizon.
- The Redskins finish the season Sunday at 4:15 PM at FedEx Field.
- The Inaugural Gala for DC mayor-elect Vincent Gray is Sunday at 7 PM at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
