Organizers may use the Fredericksburg site (405) of a multisite Marine Corps/Navy trunked system. The first year of the race, organizers used a couple of UHF business frequencies.
Amateur radio operators have been active on 146.4900 [CSQ] in previous years.
See the Fredericksburg page of my website for all the details of what was used in previous years.
