Two sporting events this weekend:
- The Virginia Gold Cup is Saturday afternoon in The Plains (Fauquier County). Expect many Fauquier talkgroups to be active, as well as public safety mutual aid channels. Organizers will probably use rented UHF business-band radios. The last time I monitored this event was in 2005; those notes are on my Fauquier County page.
- DC United plays Saturday at 7:30 at RFK Stadium.
